A four-month scientific trial by Swinburne University has found an improvement in the working spatial memory of women aged 64-82 supplementing their diet with Swisse Women’s Ultvite 50+.
This published Australian trial looked at the effect of multivitamin use on memory in these women. The study involved a randomized controlled trial where half the participants took Swisse Women’s Ultivite 50+ for 16 weeks and the other half took a placebo supplement. After this period participants were required to undertake memory-based tests. One of the tests included keeping a mental map of previously memorised locations for a couple of seconds. This particular test showed spatial working memory improved significantly.
The study, titled “Memory improvements in elderly women following 16 weeks treatment with a combined multivitamin, mineral and herbal supplement”, has now been published in an international journal.
“The trial results revealed that the control group… experienced an improvement in spatial working memory when compared to the placebo group”
